About the role

  • Lead and manage regional innovation projects with a typical duration of 6 to 12 months, ensuring successful execution from initial planning through to final closure.
  • Coordinate and align cross-functional teams — including R&D, product management, process development, and manufacturing — across multiple European sites to drive project success.
  • Translate strategic business opportunities into structured, actionable project plans with clearly defined deliverables, timelines, and milestones.
  • Track and monitor project progress using internal tools and platforms such as Microsoft Planner, OneNote, and Teams, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure timely and effective execution, proactively adapting plans in response to evolving priorities, risks, or market dynamics.
  • Apply project management methodologies, primarily waterfall and occasionally agile, while leveraging best practices and frameworks (PMP certification is preferred).
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at different levels of the organization, ensuring alignment, visibility, and engagement throughout the project.
  • Evaluate and report on project outcomes using financial tools such as NPV and ROI to support data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • A Master of Science degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) is required, with a strong preference for engineering disciplines such as chemical, mechanical, process, or materials engineering.
  • Minimum about 2 years’ experience in project management or innovation roles, or a PhD developed in a project environment close to industrial R&D
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver cross-functional projects independently
  • Prior experience in the chemical industry is considered a nice-to-have
  • Strong communication, organizational, and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated drive and ownership mindset — you know how to push a project forward
  • Familiarity with financial evaluation tools (e.g., NPV, contribution margin)
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training (preferred but not mandatory)
