About the role
- Business Analyst supporting a major client in the fund industry by analyzing business requirements and proposing software solutions. Collaborating with development and testing teams for quality deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze end-user business requirements.
- Organize and lead functional workshops with key stakeholders.
- Identify and recommend process improvements and software solutions.
- Write detailed functional specifications and design functional architecture models (UML/BPMN).
- Work closely with development and testing teams to ensure consistency of deliverables.
- Define the test strategy and contribute to the creation and execution of test cases.
- Prepare summary reports and progress-tracking dashboards.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of functional analysis and testing practices.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert to support colleagues when expert knowledge is required.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in functional analysis, business analysis, or testing.
- Experience in an institutional, banking, or regulatory environment is a plus.
- Technical skills
- Tools & Languages: JIRA, BPMN, UML, XML, SQL.
- Methodologies: Agile / Scrum, project management, and functional analysis.
- Testing: Knowledge of test strategies and associated tools.
- Excellent analytical, synthesis, and writing skills.
- Methodical, rigorous, and proactive mindset.
- Degree in computer science, business, economics, or equivalent.
- English and French are required; an additional language is considered an advantage.
