About the role
- IT Systems Engineer managing office systems and network infrastructure for an EU quantum software company. Ensuring availability, security, automation, and employee IT support.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure in line with company guidelines and SOP
- Install, configure, and test operating systems, application software, and system management tools
- Ensure highest level of systems and infrastructure availability
- Implement warranty and support activities
- Plan and implement system automation for better efficiency
- Design, review, document and implement policies and procedures for IT standardization
- Support employees on daily office IT operations when needed
- General software management and creation of users
- Implement security best practices, including patching, access control, endpoint protection
- Monitor and maintain office network infrastructure (switches, routers, wireless access points) and VPN access
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- 2+ years of experience working with IT systems, networks, monitoring tools and related technologies (macOS, Linux, Microsoft 365, hardware experience)
- Experience in endpoint devices management and incident management
- Vendor management experience
- Knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluency in English and Spanish
