- Systems Engineering Department Manager responsible for leading engineering teams at Northrop Grumman. Overseeing project performance and mentoring engineers across various disciplines in California or Alabama.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for a department within the Systems Engineering organization
- Set operating objectives and provide mentorship to Functional Home Room (FHR) Section Managers (SMs)
- Provide oversight and assistance to multiple business areas within the division portfolio
- Manage planning, risk, project performance, schedule, technical quality, and addressing technical or operational problems
- Assist engineers and program staff to develop and maintain talent within the organization
- Frequent contact with equivalent level managers and programs
- Lead a team of engineers across various engineering disciplines
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with 8 years of related experience or Masters Degree and 6 years of related experience
- Ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance and Special Program Access
- Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years
- Experience in requirements development/management using DOORS or similar tool
- Experience in model development/management using CAMEO or similar tool
- Experience in Model Based System Engineering with an understanding of DODAF and SysML
