About the role

  • IT Systems Administrator managing and enhancing IT infrastructure for a maritime AI company. Ensuring seamless operations of systems and services including Azure and AWS.

Responsibilities

  • User Account Management: Create and manage user accounts across platforms like Azure Active Directory and Outlook, ensuring new employees are equipped and ready from their start date.
  • System Configuration and Maintenance: Configure and maintain IT systems, including SharePoint, Intune for Windows, Jamf for Mac, and other essential tools to support organizational needs.
  • Network Infrastructure Management: Develop and maintain network diagrams, manage firewall configurations, VPN and AWS Server setups, and ensure secure and efficient network operations.
  • Tool Configuration and Management: Oversee the configuration and management of security tools, including email security solutions, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Defender, and log management systems.
  • Device Management: Reimage laptops, deploy necessary software, and ensure devices are properly configured and secured for employee use.
  • Policy Development: Create and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficient operations.
  • Technical Support: Respond to IT tickets, remotely connect to user systems to diagnose and resolve issues, and provide timely support to staff.
  • System Patching and Updates: Manage and deploy system patches and updates to maintain security and functionality across all devices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT system administration, with a focus on user account management, system configuration, and network infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure Active Directory, SharePoint, Intune for Windows, Jamf for Mac.
  • Experience with firewall management and VPN configuration.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing security tools such as email security solutions, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Defender, and log management systems.
  • Familiarity with device imaging and deployment processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
  • Experience with system patching and update deployment strategies.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards and best practices in IT security.
  • Fluent in English and French.
