About the role

  • Immerse yourself in SDF’s mission, culture, and security-first mindset, and learning how IT operations underpin a global blockchain ecosystem.
  • Take ownership of SDF’s IT environment, including Okta, JAMF, Intune, CrowdStrike Falcon, Google Workspace, and Slack ensuring systems run reliably and securely for a distributed workforce.
  • Oversee IT budgeting and forecasting with financial discipline, managing vendor contracts, software renewals, and technology spend to ensure cost efficiency, transparency, and alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Build trusted relationships across Security, Engineering, and People Ops, becoming the bridge that connects user experience, technology, and security.
  • Lead and mentor a small IT team– fostering operational excellence, accountability, and a service-oriented culture.
  • Assess current IT systems and workflows, identifying opportunities to automate and scale processes across onboarding, provisioning, and access management.
  • Implement secure, efficient automation for provisioning, onboarding/offboarding, and access controls using platforms like Okta, Intune, and JAMF.
  • Own and evolve SDF’s IT infrastructure, services, and employee technology experience, ensuring every system supports both productivity and protection.
  • Improve IT governance through standardized baselines, asset management, and endpoint compliance aligned with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF).
  • Partner with Security to integrate IT operations into incident response, ensuring rapid containment, visibility, and recovery when needed.
  • Develop clear metrics and KPIs to measure IT performance, user satisfaction, and risk reduction, reporting outcomes to leadership.
  • Document and refine IT playbooks, SOPs, and automation workflows that make scaling secure operations repeatable and efficient.
  • Contribute to a culture of security awareness, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, making IT a trusted enabler of innovation.

Requirements

  • 3+ Years of Experience as an IT Manager or IT Service Desk Manager
  • 5+ years of experience as an IT Administrator or Support Engineer
  • Excellent Communication skills with the ability to breakdown complex concepts
  • Proven attention to detail and customer service
  • Exceptional hands-on experience with endpoint management tools such as Jamf, Intune, and CrowdStrike for Mac, Windows, and Linux environments.
  • Proficiency in identity and access management (IAM) platforms like Okta or similar SSO/MFA solutions to support zero-trust architecture.
  • Familiarity with device and configuration management, mobile device management (MDM), and enterprise patching solutions.
  • Domain Expert managing SaaS ecosystems (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, Github,) with an emphasis on security and user lifecycle management.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including VPN, firewall, and secure remote access technologies (e.g., NordVPN, Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti).
  • Experience administering asset management, ticketing, and workflow automation platforms such as Jira Service Management, Zendesk, or Freshservice.
  • Ability to script and automate IT workflows using Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and identity integration, including AWS, GCP, or Azure AD.
  • Understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards (NIST CSF, SOC 2, ISO 27001) and how IT controls align to them.
  • Experience with backup, recovery, and business continuity solutions to ensure operational resilience.
  • Self motivated and able to work autonomously
