About the role

  • Develop strategies and lead OpenAI’s public policy engagement in Ireland and the Nordic Countries
  • Drive campaigns on specific policy issues
  • Develop and manage relationships with key international partners
  • Shape strategic initiatives and policy documents
  • Prepare leaders for engagements with government officials
  • Represent OpenAI in private and public forums

Requirements

  • Experience managing relationships with policymakers and international civil society groups
  • Sophisticated understanding of AI-related legislative issues and processes
  • Proven experience navigating complex policy landscapes across multiple markets
  • Established network with national policymakers and other key stakeholders
  • Deep experience in technology policy
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of the European Union policy-making system and key policy issues related to AI
  • Previous work on AI issues and technical AI development expertise is a significant plus
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in at least one additional language relevant to the region is a plus
