About the role

  • Two-year rotational program across investment operations teams with approximately six-month rotations
  • Support Trade Operations: provide business and operational support for trading functions and support trade lifecycle
  • Support Investment Analysis: calculate returns, attribution, exposure and risk analytics and use GMO proprietary and third-party applications (FactSet, StatPro)
  • Support Pricing Analytics: provide timely and accurate valuation across equities, futures, fixed income, listed/unlisted derivatives and complex OTC instruments
  • Support Reconciliations Analytics: validate custodian data, identify/research/resolve discrepancies for mutual funds, hedge funds, and separately managed accounts
  • Support Shareholder Services: review, process and report institutional and high net worth client cash flows and develop client-facing skills
  • Partner with internal teams including Compliance, Client Relations, Global Client Relations, Portfolio Management, and ESG
  • Participate in an expansive training program upon joining and ongoing training during the program
  • After two years, goal to place successful participants into a full-time position within investment operations

Requirements

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field by June 2026
  • Previous exposure to financial services through prior internships, personal projects and/or classwork
  • Desire to learn a broad range of skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities along with the ability to learn new concepts and systems efficiently
  • Positive attitude, professional and mature
  • Detail-oriented, able to effectively manage multiple tasks, and able to prioritize work
  • GMO will not offer visa sponsorship for this opportunity
