About the role

  • Lead the development and delivery of high-impact data insights across the business
  • Transform data into actionable insights for informed decision-making
  • Responsible for the end-to-end reporting lifecycle
  • Build and maintain scalable Power BI reporting
  • Develop and maintain data ingestion pipelines for data quality
  • Collaborate with business users to understand data needs and translate into reporting
  • Identify business growth opportunities and operational efficiencies
  • Work with Tech department to optimise data architecture
  • Provide training and support to promote self-service reporting
  • Monitor Power BI services for performance optimisation
  • Develop documentation, data models, and data dictionaries

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a data/insights/reporting management role, ideally in a mid to large-sized organisation from Retail or FMCG
  • Advanced Power BI development skills, including DAX, Power Query (M), and data modelling
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with data ingestion pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and working with large datasets from multiple sources
  • Solid SQL skills and experience working with relational databases and data warehouses or lakes
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively
  • Experience in stakeholder management and project delivery in an agile or fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and commercial mindset (ability to understand and interpret business drivers and causation) with attention to detail and data accuracy.
