About the role

  • Lead designs through every stage of the process, from concept through to production\n• Take responsibility for shaping and implementing the design strategy, including leading major strategic initiatives\n• Lead and coach a multi-disciplinary design and research team of ~20-30 people\n• Shape and deliver customer experiences working with data analysts, behavioural scientists and other specialists\n• Partner with product owners, business analysts, engineers and senior leaders to see ideas through to implementation\n• Work with research teams to understand customer segments and next-best actions\n• Influence senior leaders and broader product development and transformation agendas to ensure customer value\n• Establish a growth culture and build team capabilities through formal development and mentoring\n• Demonstrate resilience and act as a role model for the advancement of experience design across the business

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading and scaling design teams (expected to lead a 20-30 person team)\n• Strong experience in end-to-end experience design from concept through to production\n• Experience partnering with product owners, business analysts, engineers and senior leaders\n• Experience working with researchers, data analysts and behavioural scientists\n• Ability to shape and implement design strategy and lead major strategic initiatives\n• Strong influencing skills to shape propositions and senior leadership decisions\n• Experience establishing growth culture, coaching and developing design capabilities\n• Resilience and ability to act as a role model for experience design across the business\n• Experience delivering design in a regulated/financial services environment (implied)\n• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
