About the role

Responsibilities
- develop familiarity by reading, understanding and applying departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and Black and Veatch policies and procedures
- contribute to preparation of less complex engineering deliverables such as drawings, reports, specifications, and studies of limited scope
- perform routine research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection
- collect, assimilate, and manage data for engineering work
- prepare basic engineering calculations following standard methods and principles used in similar engineering analysis
- shares information with others as requested
- focus on the needs of internal clients (project team leadership)
Requirements
- bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering from a recognized accredited program
- coursework and knowledge of Power Systems, Motors, Transformers, Renewable Energy, Power Delivery, or Three Phase Power Calculations
- cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- previous internship experience
- basic knowledge of engineering design principles, design guides, and standards
- insights of industry trends and developing technologies
