Responsibilities
develop familiarity by reading, understanding and applying departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and Black and Veatch policies and procedures
contribute to preparation of less complex engineering deliverables such as drawings, reports, specifications, and studies of limited scope
perform routine research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection
collect, assimilate, and manage data for engineering work
prepare basic engineering calculations following standard methods and principles used in similar engineering analysis
shares information with others as requested
focus on the needs of internal clients (project team leadership)
Requirements
bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering from a recognized accredited program
coursework and knowledge of Power Systems, Motors, Transformers, Renewable Energy, Power Delivery, or Three Phase Power Calculations
cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
previous internship experience
basic knowledge of engineering design principles, design guides, and standards
insights of industry trends and developing technologies
fundamental knowledge of construction practices and principles
