Responsibilities
- tackle the delivery of flood assessment on major Transport/Land/Water infrastructure/Dams/Energy projects across NSW/ACT
- collaborate across disciplines internally and externally with clients and public authorities to address technical queries and drive an optimum engineering solution
- conduct hydrological and hydraulic investigations and design for a wide range of projects through collaboration with other transport (road and rail), drainage, land development, dams, water resources advisory, and energy teams
Requirements
- Bachelor or Masters' level degree in civil or environmental engineering and tertiary qualification
- 5 years of experience in the flooding industry
- Proficiency in TUFLOW, RORB, WBNM, and XP-RAFTS required
- Proficiency in GIS software such as QGIS, ArcGIS or MapInfo
- Ability to analyse, interpret and communicate information and modelling results
- Strong understanding of Australian Rainfall and Runoff (ARR) 2019
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively at an internal level
- Ability to deliver the flood modelling tasks on time within the budget, time frame and high quality
- Have an interest in technological advances and applying innovation
