About the role

  • Develop and implement global medical scientific strategies for shingles assets
  • Support development and execution of Global Medical Affairs Plans (MAP) and Integrated Evidence Plans (IEP)
  • Partner with Local Operating Company teams to understand landscape needs and market value drivers
  • Collaborate across R&D, Evidence Generation, Global Product Strategy, and country teams to prioritize evidence generation
  • Input into clinical trial design and development plans
  • Build and maintain networks of external experts (HCPs, patients, payors, regulators)
  • Lead integrated external medical communications and strategic publication plans
  • Review and assess GSK-sponsored and investigator-sponsored study proposals
  • Advise on core claims, material review, and regulatory documentation
  • Oversee medical governance, risk assessment, and patient safety mitigation plans
  • Lead and manage multiple priorities, projects, and cross-functional teams in a matrix environment

Requirements

  • MD/MBBS/PharmD or PhD
  • Experience in Medical Affairs (LOC or Global teams)
  • Experience in pre/peri-launch and lifecycle management phases
  • Experience in Scientific Communication and Evidence Generation
  • Experience presenting/speaking at conferences and congresses
  • Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, and interactions simultaneously
  • Experience working within a matrix environment
  • Experience managing internal and external stakeholders
  • Preferred: clinical or scientific experience in vaccines
  • Preferred: understanding of internal/external codes of practice and regulations
  • Preferred: demonstrated matrix leadership and cultural diversity experience
  • Preferred: experience supporting regulatory interactions and payor dossiers
  • Preferred: general understanding of statistics, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Preferred: experience developing global/local medical strategies and asset launches
