About the role

  • Geospatial Data Developer at Transport for NSW delivering geospatial projects and maintaining key datasets. Collaborating within teams and driving innovation in spatial technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Join our Enterprise Geospatial team as a Geospatial Data Developer
  • Play a key role in delivering multiple technical uplift projects across Transport for NSW
  • Maintain and manage metadata to meet ANZLIC standards
  • Collaborate within your Geospatial team and our Data Management team
  • Own key geospatial datasets such as heavy vehicle routes, passenger networks, and more
  • Produce timely, precise geospatial analytics on classified roads, 30-minute city analysis, and heavy vehicle networks
  • Be the SME on geospatial data and analysis within the team
  • Develop innovative geospatial products and tools that showcase AAI’s platform and capabilities
  • Manage the data and applications on the AAI Geospatial Portal

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in computing, spatial technologies, information technology
  • Demonstrated knowledge of geospatial information system theory and its practical application
  • Extensive experience with building geospatial front-end applications using React + ESRI JSAPI
  • Experience with GIT version control
  • Experience with authentication methods
  • Knowledge and experience with relational database management systems
  • Working experience with ESRI Portal for ArcGIS
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and experience working in an agile team would be advantageous.
