About the role
- General Accountant responsible for maintaining accurate financial records at Vestiaire Collective. Involved in month-end closing processes and compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including intercompany accounts
- Prepare journal entries and accruals and support the monthly closing process
- Assist with VAT/sales tax calculations and reporting across multiple jurisdictions
- Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and management reports and liaise with the local tax provider
- Communicate with various stakeholders on finance-related matters
- Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve controls
Requirements
- Accounting qualification or bachelor’s degree
- 2–5 years’ experience in tax accounting
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial reporting standards
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently with stakeholders
- Motivated to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in French with good verbal and written communication skills in English
