About the role
- Fleet Manager overseeing and coordinating Tapi’s fleet of vehicles supporting stores and Home Consultants across the UK. Ensuring cost-effective operations and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the operation of Tapi’s fleet of vehicles supporting our network of stores and Home Consultants across the UK.
- Vehicle procurement and planning.
- Maintenance scheduling.
- Driver insight and reporting.
- Cost analysis and regulatory compliance.
- Forge bonds and relationships with Regional Managers across the country.
- Maintain the MPDQ database and equipment for Home Consultants.
- Produce quarterly reports for the senior leadership team.
- Review the monthly Intelocate damage reports for the vehicles.
- Control and manage vehicle health, MOT’s, and servicing schedules.
- Monitor fleet costs and ensure they remain within budget.
- Develop strategies for improved cost efficiency.
- Ensure all driving licence checks are completed for drivers.
Requirements
- Experience in fleet management , transport operations, or a related field.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of UK transportation regulations and compliance standards.
- Organisational Skills : Strong organisational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders across the business.
- Problem-Solving : Ability to quickly diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Forward Thinking : Put together an EV strategy for Tapi.
- Reporting : Develop some analysis reporting from the new telematics system – key flags are idle timings / driver behaviour etc.
