About the role
- Execute certifications and coordinate FIX connectivity onboarding and certification efforts
- Interact with clients and tier 1 banks as practitioners on electronic trading systems
- Manage certification troubleshooting, track status, and communicate issues and status to management
- Navigate log files and troubleshoot in UNIX; apply programming/scripting knowledge as needed
- Interface with development, testing, deployment, and release teams to facilitate delivery of resilient solutions
- Work with equities and futures/options onboarding, including algos and specific FIX messaging implementations
Requirements
- 3 - 8 years worth of experience (FIX certification and onboarding candidates)
- 1 - 5 years experience executing and coordinating FIX connectivity onboarding and certification efforts
- Experience with FIX protocols and FIX certification processes
- Programming/scripting knowledge (knowledge of Perl or other scripting languages is a plus)
- Comfortable navigating log files and troubleshooting in UNIX
- General understanding of the software development life cycle and delivery lifecycle
- Experience interfacing with development, testing, deployment, and release processes
- Understanding of equities and futures/options transactions and FIX messaging implementations
- Experience with various certifications including algos
- Knowledge of the Capital Markets industry and electronic trading flows
- High degree of communication; ability to interact with clients and communicate issues/status to management
- BA or BS degree in CS, MIS, Computer Information Systems, or a related field
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; to be flexible and learn quickly
