About the role

  • Financial Planning & Analysis Controller managing budgeting and performance analysis for Mytheresa in Munich. Trusted financial partner for e-commerce strategies and insights.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the annual budgeting process, quarterly reforecasts, and long-term strategic planning
  • Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, identify variances, and provide in-depth analysis of key drivers
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for management, executive leadership, and stakeholders
  • Act as a trusted financial business partner to various departments (e.g., Marketing, Buying, Tech), providing financial guidance and support on strategic initiatives
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and modeling to support strategic projects, investment decisions, and business initiatives
  • Identify and implement improvements to financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes and tools
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in FP&A, Controlling, or a similar analytical finance role, preferably within the e-commerce, retail, or luxury industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with financial planning software Lucanet is a significant plus
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; German language skills are a plus
  • Proactive, results-oriented, highly organized, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
