About the role
- Track all income, expenses, payroll, and software subscriptions across Canadian, U.S., and Indian entities.
- Build accurate and timely P&L statements for individual projects, products, and clients.
- Consolidate financials across entities and ensure compliance with local reporting requirements.
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and projections for products, projects, and clients.
- Support leadership with strategic decision-making through data-driven insights.
- Identify opportunities to improve margins, reduce costs, and optimize operations.
- Create, distribute, and manage invoices for all clients; ensure timely collections and vendor payments.
- Maintain strong cash flow management across all entities.
- Implement scalable financial processes, tools, and controls; partner with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors.
- Serve as the internal go-to for all finance-related systems and reporting.
Requirements
- 3+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or controllership.
- CPA designation (or international equivalent) strongly preferred.
- Experience working with multi-entity structures (Canada, U.S., and/or international subsidiaries).
- Strong background in financial reporting, forecasting, and project-based accounting.
- Proficiency with accounting and finance tools (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; hands-on and strategic.
- Ability to work independently and on tight timelines.
