About the role

  • Financial Adviser providing personalised financial advice and education regarding Mercer products. Collaborating with clients to maintain compliance and enhance customer understanding in Wellington or Auckland.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalised financial advice and education in regard to Mercer products and those of some of our clients
  • Maintain and develop relationships with customers by providing tailored financial advice in accordance with Mercer’s Financial Advice Policy and addressing general customer inquiries
  • Ensure all risk and compliance requirements are met in line with Mercer’s compliance standards
  • Present at financial education seminars for customers, both in-person and online, to enhance their understanding of financial products
  • Contribute to a seamless customer experience by identifying and implementing service improvements

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accountancy, law, commerce, marketing, or a related discipline, or a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Studies (Endorsed in Personal Financial Planning)
  • Hold the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) or the National Certificate in Financial Services (Financial Advice, Level 5)
  • Experience providing personalised financial advice to retail customers, particularly regarding KiwiSaver and investments
  • Strong understanding of risk and compliance requirements
