About the role

• Financial Accountant in Duxford providing support for financial controls and compliance. Collaborating with Finance team and external auditors, preparing accounts and managing compliance.

Responsibilities

• **What you'll be doing:**
• Providing technical guidance and advice to colleagues across Finance and the wider business
• Preparing statutory accounts and supporting external audits
• Assisting with internal audits and ensuring compliance with Group reporting requirements
• Managing UK compliance including corporation tax, VAT returns and annual statements
• Preparing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintaining the fixed asset register and overseeing month-end processes
• Managing the capital expenditure business case process for SMT GB
• Supporting the development and implementation of a new ERP system
• Identifying areas of financial risk and helping to improve our control processes

Requirements

• **What you'll bring:**
• Finalist (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• From either practice or industry with solid experience in a similar role
• Strong Excel skills and confident working with financial data
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Highly motivated, organised and able to manage your own workload effectively
• A clear communicator who can work well with colleagues at all levels
