About the role
- Financial Accountant in Duxford providing support for financial controls and compliance. Collaborating with Finance team and external auditors, preparing accounts and managing compliance.
Responsibilities
- **What you'll be doing:**
- Providing technical guidance and advice to colleagues across Finance and the wider business
- Preparing statutory accounts and supporting external audits
- Assisting with internal audits and ensuring compliance with Group reporting requirements
- Managing UK compliance including corporation tax, VAT returns and annual statements
- Preparing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and overseeing month-end processes
- Managing the capital expenditure business case process for SMT GB
- Supporting the development and implementation of a new ERP system
- Identifying areas of financial risk and helping to improve our control processes
Requirements
- **What you'll bring:**
- Finalist (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- From either practice or industry with solid experience in a similar role
- Strong Excel skills and confident working with financial data
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Highly motivated, organised and able to manage your own workload effectively
- A clear communicator who can work well with colleagues at all levels
