Finance Specialist working in a hybrid role in Köln, creating financial reports and supporting finance projects. Requires expertise in IFRS and collaboration with international teams.
Responsibilities
Preparation of financial reports for individual special purpose vehicles (SPVs)
Support in the preparation of additional single-entity and consolidated financial statements
Support in preparing half-year (interim) financial statements and calculating bank covenants in the context of external financing requirements
Contribution to accounting under IFRS and local accounting standards
Participation in international projects (new software implementations, accounting questions, M&A, new construction projects, etc.)
Support to the tax department on tax-related topics and matters
Implementation and monitoring of internal controls to ensure data integrity in the financial statements
Point of contact for auditors
Point of contact for external service providers
Quality control of financial statements (interim and annual)
Continuous process optimization
Support in the development of a group-wide accounting policy
Requirements
Completed degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
At least 2–3 years of professional experience in group accounting/consolidation or external audit
Solid knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS) and consolidated financial statements
Experience working on projects
Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
Ideally, experience with Microsoft Dynamics
Strong IT affinity
Very good German and English language skills
