About the role
- Finance Manager at Weetabix collaborating with operations and innovation teams to manage product costs. Leading analysis and reporting for cost efficiency and improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with our Manufacturing team to turn cost and performance data (like volume, pricing, and efficiency) into meaningful insights that drive action.
- Partner with our Innovation team to bring new and improved products to life — ensuring product costings are accurate and helping assess the impact of key factors on business proposals.
- Lead the process for setting standard costs and managing the costed Bill of Materials across our full range of Weetabix products.
- Oversee the management of accounts for our standalone Ryecroft factory, ensuring everything runs smoothly and accurately.
- Collaborate with our Procurement team on major projects — helping to set clear standards, track performance, and report cost variances.
- Deliver high-quality reports and analysis that help leaders make confident, well-informed decisions.
- Prepare accurate budgets and forecasts, clearly highlighting risks and opportunities to help the business stay on track and achieve its goals.
- Confidently challenge and support stakeholders to ensure we meet our financial targets.
- Look for smarter, more efficient ways to improve how we work — driving continuous improvement across processes and reporting.
- Support key business projects such as system upgrades or profitability reviews, helping shape decisions that move the company forward.
- Ensure our team follows all compliance standards and internal policies (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance)
- Lead, mentor, and develop one direct report — setting clear goals, supporting their growth, and celebrating their achievements.
Requirements
- Experience with standard costing and cost analysis, with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement
- Display an understanding of manufacturing accounting and the ability to turn data into meaningful insights for decision-making
- Inclusive and supportive people leadership experience, with a proven ability to develop and empower team members
- Branded FMCG experience (desirable)
- Technical/professional qualifications: CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified (desirable)
