About the role

  • Testing, troubleshooting and repairing of both standard and special equipment
  • Develop written and verbal estimates for repair evaluations
  • Operate hand tools and electric/electronic test equipment
  • Work from written and verbal engineering documentation, BO's, assembly prints, plumbing diagrams, electrical diagrams or schematics
  • Accept field service phone calls to assist customers in troubleshooting on-site problems
  • Make recommendations to help implement process improvements
  • Perform equipment calibrations when required

Requirements

  • HS or equivalent GED
  • Additional specialized knowledge of engineering disciplines
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Mechanical background ability
  • Ability to read and understand both mechanical and electrical blueprints
  • Ability to travel up to 50% based on customer demand
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree in Engineering or similar field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in progressively complex troubleshooting and repair on electro-mechanical machines and components (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing concepts and in-depth knowledge of ultrasonics welding control circuitry troubleshooting and various product line actuators (preferred)
