About the role

  • As a member of the Amicus Global FP&A team, the Executive Director, FP&A will partner with the R&D, US G&A & US Commercial departments to provide financial support and analytics that drive both strategic and operational decision making.
  • This role will also have responsibility for consolidating global budgets / forecasts and variance analysis versus budgets and forecasts along with cashflow forecasting.
  • Work closely with the members of the global finance team and partner with the business teams to prepare budgets and forecasts, monthly statements, strategic analysis and ad hoc analysis/reporting.
  • Develop an in depth understanding of key business drivers of the Amicus business in order to communicate how these drivers impact the Amicus business and how these are to be reflected within the Amicus financial statements.
  • Build relationships with business units heads and subject matter experts to become a trusted finance business partner to assist in accurate forecasting and strategic analysis.
  • Work closely with wider finance teams to align accruals, contracts, purchase orders and invoices to ensure a high level of accuracy and comparison to budgeted amounts.
  • Provide monthly reporting including P&L and cash variance analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate discipline, or equivalent financial management qualification, or experience is required
  • Pharma industry experience highly desirable
  • 10+ years of experience in financial planning & Analysis or equivalent
  • Experience in budgeting / planning in pharmaceutical/Biotech clinical programs
  • Strong team leadership skills with a proven track record of team success
  • Leadership experience in a global environment with experience of working in cross functional projects
  • Strong business acumen with a business partnering mindset, always thinking about how Finance can help drive business
  • Pro-active and problem-solving attitude with customer focus
  • Experience working within a Global team an advantage
  • Ability to be flexible and highly motivated and the ability to multi task
