About the role

  • Executive Director leading audience-driven marketing strategies for CVS Caremark's Pharmacy Benefit Management business. Reporting to AVP and managing a team of strategists for measurable results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of marketing strategists, setting clear expectations, fostering professional growth, and promoting diverse perspectives to build a high-performing team
  • Prioritize product needs and allocate resources for maximum strategic impact, while strengthening cross-functional partnerships
  • Create a flexible 1–2-year roadmap that evolves with market shifts and business needs, allowing for timely adjustments and strategic pivots
  • Drive marketing plan development to increase awareness and adoption of PBM products across B2C and B2B audiences, including payors and members
  • Align marketing initiatives with business priorities and brand strategy, championing a digital-first approach through innovative positioning, compelling narratives, and optimized channel mix
  • Monitor market trends and anticipate opportunities and risks to enhance performance and exceed organizational goals
  • Oversee measurement and optimization of marketing programs, using insights to improve campaign effectiveness and secure resources during annual planning

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in B2B/B2C marketing
  • Demonstrated success as a strong leader with a track record of developing talent and building high-performing teams
  • Prior PBM/healthcare experience (or other complex, regulated industry) strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of payors/PBM industry, competitive landscape, and market challenges
  • Knowledge of how to leverage product portfolios, channels, and go-to-market approaches to achieve business results
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment
  • Superior relationship management and communication skills
  • Skilled in inspiring, collaborating with, and influencing business partners
  • Ability to navigate and succeed in a highly matrixed organization
  • Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including sharing ideas and information across diverse audiences and creating compelling presentations
  • Strong performance accountability, both in terms of following through on commitments and deadlines
  • Strategic and analytical thinker, with superior problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate the details while keeping in mind the strategy in place
  • Solid quantitative skills coupled with broad business acumen
  • Development of segmentation and marketing strategies based on insights and data
