About the role

  • Prepare federal, state and local permit applications and manage the review and processing of permits
  • Prepare NEPA documents
  • Advise clients on environmental permitting and regulatory requirements through preliminary desktop assessments and detailed permit matrices
  • Collaborate with project team leader to ensure data accuracy, completeness and that client’s expectations are met for scope, budget, schedule and quality
  • Support development of technical proposals
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines during fieldwork
  • Author Environmental Management Plans
  • Administer ESC, SWM
  • Mentor junior environmental team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field.
  • 7+ years of environmental consulting experience
  • Proven knowledge of Clean Water Act and related regulations, including §7 of Endangered Species Act and §106 of National Historic Preservation Act (see preferred qualifications)
  • Demonstrated experience managing environmental permitting and regulatory compliance for large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
