About the role
- Support the Procurement team with assignment and statusing of incoming requests from business stakeholders; create Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders; upload and archive contracts into contract management and SaaS software management systems; ensure data integrity is maintained in all systems
- Understand usage, cost drivers, and ROI to serve as a trusted advisor to internal teams related to requested purchases
- Source and engage reliable suppliers and vendors; provide RFI and RFP support to Procurement Managers as needed
- Create reports and populate systems of record for Procurement including purchase orders, contract management, and spend tracking
- Assist with new vendor onboarding processes
- Assist in driving and identifying potential cost savings
- Reconcile invoices with contractual terms to resolve inconsistencies
- Represent the company in vendor discussions to maintain key partnerships effectively
Requirements
- 1-3 years in an indirect spend procurement role (tech, professional services, marketing, etc)
- Familiarity with Coupa preferred but not required
- Self-starting, enthusiastic, entrepreneurial attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate and collaborate internally and externally
- Negotiation experience and problem-solving skills
- Solid interpersonal and rapport building abilities
- Strong time management and planning skills required to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to changes in business requirements
- Operational business understanding of procurement and supply chain, including purchase ordering, expense reporting, procurement/sourcing, provisioning and reclamation, renewals, and contract management
