About the role
- IES Specialist providing front line support for Meta’s data tools and engineering productivity. Collaborating with Data Engineers and Software Engineers in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, and Data Infrastructure Engineers.
- Work closely with Meta’s internal engineering teams supporting key enterprise applications and development platforms.
- Serve as the first point of contact for resolving engineering inquiries and requests.
- Act as a subject matter expert on various products and tools to aid and improve Meta’s engineering productivity.
- Leverage the knowledge and experience for continuous improvement of Meta’s products and platforms.
- Communicate (verbally / writing posts), build strong relationships with our partner teams, and deliver quality service.
Requirements
- BSc/Associate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field
- Experience with data analytics or log validation tools (e.g., Splunk, Tableau, Grafana, or similar)
- Familiarity with mobile debugging tools (e.g., Flipper, Android Studio, Xcode debugger)
- Solid programming skills in at least one of: Python, C++, PHP, JavaScript, Java, or Swift
- Willingness to learn new tools and technologies as part of onboarding.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building with a diverse, global, and cross-functional team
- Basic fluency with development tools (Python, SQL, PHP, JavaScript, or similar)
- Ability to work in rapidly changing environment and quickly learn new technologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a clear focus under pressure
- Ability to rapidly assess, analyze, and resolve/troubleshoot issues and distill into clear and concise communications
