About the role

• Engineer/Technician in Mechanical Engineering focusing on supply technology for shipbuilding processes in an innovative family business. Working on heating, fresh water, and wastewater systems with a hybrid work structure.

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities in the field of shipboard utility/supply systems, including heating systems, fresh water systems (including generation), wastewater systems (including treatment), drainage, bilge, ballast and fire-fighting systems, special extinguishing systems (gas, water mist, sprinkler, foam, monitors) and compressed air systems
• Development of technical concepts and preparation of specifications for approval and procurement processes
• Design and calculations of ship service/operational systems
• Creation and maintenance of schematic piping diagrams based on construction specifications and classification rules in collaboration with our product design team
• Technical coordination with customers and suppliers, evaluation of offers and preparation of decision proposals
• Technical risk and cost assessment
• Collaboration with other design departments and with production/manufacturing

Requirements

• Completed technical or scientific degree or technician certification (m/f/d)
• Professional experience in the field and, ideally, experience with integration in shipbuilding
• Proficiency in using CAD software for schematic creation and good MS Office skills
• Good written and spoken English with technical competence in the field
• Confident presence, ability to work independently, assertiveness, and strong communication and teamwork skills
