About the role

  • Portfolio Manager managing Energy Efficiency/Electrification programs at Guidehouse. Experience in developing solutions and managing stakeholders across multiple locations is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Guidehouse is seeking a Portfolio Manager to manage a portfolio of our Energy Efficiency/Electrification programs (multiple locations available)
  • This position requires experience with developing and delivering Energy Efficiency (EE), electrification and/or decarbonization solutions
  • Team and partner management of various functional groups (internal and external), client, and stakeholders
  • Build and maintain relationships for our state and local government clients
  • Lead the planning and implementation of energy efficiency rebate programs
  • Lead coordination with Guidehouse market teams and the national team
  • Support the development and shaping of opportunities in collaboration with market teams
  • Lead development and pricing for solution (i.e., pre-sales calls, project scope definition, RFP responses, client presentations)
  • Participate in the negotiation of contract and provide input to market teams during SOW development
  • Direct and coordinate cross-functional teams (delivery, solutions, engineering, marketing, analytics, managed services, financial services, software development, partners)
  • Build, manage and maintain client relationship and expectations
  • Work to resolve project issues, proactively identify project risks and make recommendations for resolution
  • Develop relationships and/or manages sub-contractors or vendors
  • Coordinate and lead internal and external meetings with internal teams, clients, partners, and diverse stakeholders
  • Ensure solution aligns with client program goals, and client needs/overall business objectives
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to team members on project development and client management skills
  • Provide ongoing feedback and input into future solution needs and enhancements
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of program design and delivery best practices
  • Forecast and track portfolio-level budgets while maintaining a resource plan aligned with the budget

Requirements

  • Must either be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Director level hires will require 10+ years of total professional experience in the energy industry or state and local energy programs
  • Total work experience should include program management and solution development experience for complex solutions such as EE, electrification, decarbonization
  • Experience leading large complex project and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Associate Director level hires will require 7+ years of total professional experience working in the energy industry and/or state and local energy programs
  • Solid understanding of energy efficiency measures for residential homes and multi-family housing
  • Solid understanding of federal, state, or local rebate/grant programs for residential and/or multi-family end users
  • Knowledge of low-to-moderate income energy or state/federal programs
  • Knowledge of economic analysis in developing business cases for businesses to implement energy efficiency measures
  • Demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding multi-million-dollar business development and managed revenue targets
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams, providing feedback, mentoring, and coaching team members
  • Knowledge and experience with project management practices and techniques
  • Startup mentality, resourceful and self-motivated
  • Ability to coordinate diverse program stakeholders both internal and external
  • Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment across multiple business units and stakeholders (all levels)
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical, creative problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have a passion for customer satisfaction and have the ability to deliver on customer’s needs and expectations while meeting Guidehouse objectives
  • Ability to travel including overnight travel, depending on client or project needs
  • Currently reside in the USA within Eastern or Central Time Zones
  • Ability to work onsite at a Guidehouse Office or Client Office location.
