About the role
- Emergency Management Specialist assisting with disaster exercise planning and implementation at Emory University. Supporting Emory Emergency Medical Services operations and collaborating with department leadership.
Responsibilities
- Assists with disaster exercise planning and implementation.
- Supports operations for Emory Emergency Medical Services (EMS), comprised of a large number of Emory students.
- Collaborates with operating units to ensure required documentation is entered in systems to maintain business continuity plans.
- Provides guidance to department leadership and students to enhance services provided by CEPAR.
- Ensures all activities are in compliance with state and national standards, rules, regulations and practices.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
- Performs other duties as specified.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Emergency Management, Nursing or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- NREMT Certification as an Advanced EMT with Georgia licensure as an Advanced EMT.
- Emory EMS Alumni with an understanding of the student EMS program.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
- Certification as a BLS CPR Instructor.
