About the role

  • Provide full-time IT legal support services to a large federal agency
  • Independently develop, modify, and maintain complex programs to support litigation environment applications
  • Support litigation support databases, associated management systems, and analytical systems
  • Translate program requirements into program code
  • Test, debug, and refine programs to process data in accordance with written specifications
  • Revise programs to increase efficiency and reduce operating time
  • Develop data entry screens and other user interfaces
  • Implement standardized reports and create specialized and ad hoc reports as required

Requirements

  • Must be a United States Citizen
  • Requires substantial, hands-on programming experience in the systems environment being used
  • At least two years of directly applicable experience
  • At least three years of overall programming experience, including experience with large-scale database management systems
  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Undergraduate degree strongly preferred - preferably in the computer science or information management/technology disciplines
  • Broad knowledge of the Government's IT environments (office automation networks, PC and server-based databases and applications) - ideally
  • Supervisory or team leader experience - ideally
  • Experience in automated litigation support - ideally
