Responsibilities
- Report to the Team Lead within Pfizer Medical Content and Communication, Vaccines
- Lead the development and execution of impactful scientific communication strategies
- Ensure overall scientific communication and content strategies reflect Therapeutic Area (TA) priorities
- Collaborate with TA teams to drive publication planning, writing, and dissemination of scientific data
- Act as a strategic thought partner to the TA medical team
- Lead financial projections and budget management for functional deliverables
- Build collaborative relationships with relevant partners
Requirements
- Advanced medical/scientific degree (MS, PhD/PharmD or MD)
- 7+ years’ experience if Master’s, 5+ years’ if PhD/PharmD, or 4+ years’ if MD in biopharmaceutical/biotech or agency experience
- Willing and able to become subject matter expert in disease area
- Experience developing strategic scientific communications and scientific content to support scientific exchange
- Strong understanding of Medical Affairs including medical strategies, disease areas, and objectives
- Ability to quickly build rapport and credibility with key stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex scientific concepts into meaningful communications
- Strong track record of written and oral communication skills
- Experience with omnichannel content development including publications, congress materials, etc.
- Experience with scientific peer-reviewed publications
