About the role

  • Director of Social Services overseeing clinical and case management functions for Urban Pathways, empowering vulnerable residents in New York City.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and ensures that performance-based incentives and all other goals of the program are met.
  • Provides leadership to program staff.
  • Manages and develops staff, including coaching, training and mentoring.
  • Oversees all clinical provisions of the program for clients, including but not limited to casework, case plans, housing placements, substance abuse/MICA counseling, incident reporting, investigation documentation, and all other activities.
  • Coordinates clinical meetings with case management staff and other inter-disciplinary teams.
  • Participates in the development of Urban Pathways program policies and procedures.
  • Oversees the on-site medical and psychiatric services including medication management.
  • Serves on call to address emergency needs on a twenty-four-hour basis.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or other related field required.
  • LCSW preferred.
  • Five years of experience supporting adults experiencing mental illness and/or multiple challenges (MICA), including five years of clinical and supervisory experience required.
  • Experience working in an SRO or any residential program setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with programs relevant to funding source regulations required.
  • Experience with individuals experiencing homeless and/or mentally illness and substance abuse population preferred.
