About the role

  • Lead the strategy and maintenance of HR data governance, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, Finance, and Audit teams to oversee audit processes, data quality, documentation, and the HR Data Governance Council.
  • Drive improvements in data management, ensuring audit readiness, and integrating data governance throughout the organization.
  • Champion data stewardship and governance best practices across HR and partner functions.
  • Oversee the resolution of complex data quality issues, including root cause analysis and systemic remediation.
  • Maintain and evolve documentation including data standards, security profiles, field dictionaries, and metrics guides.
  • Manage the HR data catalog, ensuring accurate tagging, classification, and lifecycle tracking.
  • Conduct regular quality assessments and partner with data owners to maintain data integrity.
  • Lead a team of four, providing strategic direction, coaching, and performance oversight.

Requirements

  • Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years of management experience.
  • Deep understanding of HR data & fields
  • In-depth understanding of data governance principles, best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading and driving resolution of complex data-related issues.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and quality assessment techniques.
  • Experience with HR systems (e.g., Workday) and data management tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with auditors and ensuring compliance with data-related regulations and policies.
