Responsibilities
Lead the strategy and maintenance of HR data governance, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
Collaborate with HR, IT, Finance, and Audit teams to oversee audit processes, data quality, documentation, and the HR Data Governance Council.
Drive improvements in data management, ensuring audit readiness, and integrating data governance throughout the organization.
Champion data stewardship and governance best practices across HR and partner functions.
Oversee the resolution of complex data quality issues, including root cause analysis and systemic remediation.
Maintain and evolve documentation including data standards, security profiles, field dictionaries, and metrics guides.
Manage the HR data catalog, ensuring accurate tagging, classification, and lifecycle tracking.
Conduct regular quality assessments and partner with data owners to maintain data integrity.
Lead a team of four, providing strategic direction, coaching, and performance oversight.
Requirements
Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years of management experience.
Deep understanding of HR data & fields
In-depth understanding of data governance principles, best practices, and compliance requirements.
Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading and driving resolution of complex data-related issues.
Proficiency in data analysis and quality assessment techniques.
Experience with HR systems (e.g., Workday) and data management tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Experience working with auditors and ensuring compliance with data-related regulations and policies.
