About the role

  • Work on roll-out of the data governance program across multiple business segments and streams
  • Provide support to businesses during transformation and maintenance phases
  • Define and maintain the underlying Data Domain Model
  • Support alignment and operationalization of DMG roles across the organization’s data landscape
  • Support business areas during onboarding into data governance processes (DMG roles assignment, data prioritizations, KPIs set-up)
  • Ensure consistency and quality input across data domains and provide guidance and quality assurance during onboarding
  • Create, review, and maintain documentation and user guides including best practices, processes, standards, and policies
  • Report on workstream progress to senior management and DMG stakeholders as required
  • Drive resolution of issues on assignments and develop effective relationships with internal stakeholders and DMG actors

Requirements

  • Educational background and/or relevant experience in Information Technology, Data Management, Data Analytics, Data Governance or alike
  • Solid understanding of enterprise data management concepts including data lifecycle management, data modelling, metadata management, data architecture principles and data quality management
  • Good understanding of data cataloguing, databases and data structures, data models and data domains as well as data governance standards
  • Experience with data management and governance in big data and/or data lake environments is desirable
  • Ability to translate, operationalize and articulate theoretical data governance concepts into actionable items to data owners
  • Ability to navigate between both broader perspective and detailed view
  • Understanding of regulatory environment and risk management frameworks; knowledge of BCBS239 principles is an advantage
  • Critical thinking, analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
  • Structured and result-oriented approach; high commitment, proactiveness, willingness to take responsibility and learn quickly
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills; excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Previous experience in change or project management is an advantage
