In - house Counsel role involving legal and risk work at Walkers Global. Responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and advising on various legal matters and contracts.
About the role
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including supply, distribution, and partnership contracts.
- Provide legal guidance on FDA regulatory matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Advise on privacy issues and data protection laws, and ensure the company's practices align with legal requirements.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
- Update senior lawyers within the department on legal developments and report directly to the Senior Corporate Counsel.
- Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the protection of the company's interests.
- Support business operations and strategic initiatives to advance Kate Farms' mission
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with a state bar.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience, with a focus on transactions, contracts, FDA regulatory matters, and privacy.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong commitment to the Kate Farms mission and values.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Respectfully shares and accepts feedback willingly from all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated technology skills and an ability to learn new systems.
- Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods of time (physical demand)
