About the role

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including supply, distribution, and partnership contracts.
  • Provide legal guidance on FDA regulatory matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Advise on privacy issues and data protection laws, and ensure the company's practices align with legal requirements.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Update senior lawyers within the department on legal developments and report directly to the Senior Corporate Counsel.
  • Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the protection of the company's interests.
  • Support business operations and strategic initiatives to advance Kate Farms' mission

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with a state bar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience, with a focus on transactions, contracts, FDA regulatory matters, and privacy.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong commitment to the Kate Farms mission and values.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Respectfully shares and accepts feedback willingly from all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated technology skills and an ability to learn new systems.
  • Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods of time (physical demand)
