About the role
- Accounting & Control Improvement Lead driving operational excellence for Diabetes International. Focused on SAP S/4HANA implementation and compliance with financial processes across regions.
Responsibilities
- Support value streams with the implementation of efficient accounting and control processes to ensure operational readiness for Day 1 (IPO)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, to optimize end-to-end (E2E) processes
- Lead the design and implementation of accounting and control processes within SAP S/4HANA for Day 2 (TSA exit)
- Oversee the execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for accounting and control processes
- Implement a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) framework to monitor and optimize process performance
- Shape and standardize the statutory reporting process, ensuring compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and local regulations
- Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting & control team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field;
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), or equivalent certification preferred
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in finance operations, process/system improvement, or related roles, ideally within a multinational organization
- Proven experience leading large-scale system implementation projects, including SAP S/4HANA
- Expertise in designing and optimizing accounting and control processes for international shared services environments
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Excellent leadership, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing culturally diverse teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives is a plus.
- Familiarity with statutory reporting processes, value stream design, and KPI management will help you excel in this role.
