About the role

  • Support the functional and hydraulic design of combustion devices
  • Review subsystem requirements and carry out trades to define the combustion devices' architecture
  • Lead combustion devices, components, and assembly test campaigns (configuration definition, test preparation, execution and results analyses)
  • Develop and update fluidic models based on literature review and/or experimental data
  • Iterate subsystem designs using simulated and/or real-world test data

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • Hands-on experience developing hardware from concept to working prototypes
  • Strong technical fundamentals in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and heat transfer
  • Proficient with CAD (Siemens NX is an asset), or other design and analysis (FLUENT or OpenFOAM preferred) software
  • A system engineering approach to problem-solving and design trades
  • Experience writing software in languages like Python
  • Familiarity with cryogenic fluids is an asset
  • Fluency in English
