About the role

  • Design, develop, and maintain state-of-the-art data cloud architectures for clients in life sciences.
  • Implement CI/CD and cloud infrastructure using Terraform as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Analyse cloud services to determine strengths, limitations, and best-fit strategies.
  • Implement and oversee data security measures ensuring compliance in highly regulated environments.
  • Design and implement secure, robust, and scalable cloud solutions leveraging latest cloud technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Define organization-wide best practices and security standards across projects and solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to create proofs of concept (PoCs) and demonstrate technical feasibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in solution architecture/cloud engineering working with 1 or more major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD providers such as GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong ability to adapt quickly to customer custom infrastructure and contribute effectively.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform).
  • Expertise in building and working with serverless architecture.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Experience in agile methodologies and project delivery frameworks.
  • Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g. Python, SQL, bash).
  • Self-starter, self-trainer, independent problem solver, able to lead projects effectively.
  • It will be a plus: Experience with Azure OpenAI resources, life-science upstream systems (e.g., Veeva), pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), relevant certifications (e.g., AZ-303, AZ-304, SAA-C03, SAP-C01).
