Responsibilities
- Partner with the CEO to translate business strategy into measurable financial targets and KPIs.
- Lead and mentors a small, high-performing finance and accounting team.
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team on strategic initiatives and long-term financial planning.
- Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and scenario modeling for revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
- Manage cash flow and liquidity to sustain growth and manage burn.
- Implement scalable finance systems, reporting tools, and automation to improve efficiency.
- Develop and tracks key SaaS unit economics to inform pricing and growth strategies.
- Manage relationships with banks, investors, and financial partners.
- Supports future fundraising rounds, debt financing, or strategic investment opportunities.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field plus 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including prior experience as CFO, VP Finance, or equivalent in a SaaS or technology company.
- Proven success scaling a company from ~$10M to $50M+ in annual revenue.
- Strong command of SaaS metrics, financial modeling, and investor reporting.
- Deep understanding of GAAP, forecasting, and cash management in high-growth environments.
- Experience with venture capital, private equity, or institutional investors preferred.
- Strategic mindset with hands-on capability—comfortable operating at both a high level and in the details.
- Strong communication and presentation skills—able to explain complex financial information clearly and persuasively.
- Collaborative leadership style able to work effectively with a close-knit leadership team.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate disagreements, moderate conflict, and build alignment across stakeholders.
- Experience managing equity programs and investor relations.
- The most successful candidates also have… an MBA or advanced degree.
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
