Responsibilities
Partner with the CEO to translate business strategy into measurable financial targets and KPIs.
Lead and mentors a small, high-performing finance and accounting team.
Partner with the CEO and leadership team on strategic initiatives and long-term financial planning.
Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and scenario modeling for revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
Manage cash flow and liquidity to sustain growth and manage burn.
Implement scalable finance systems, reporting tools, and automation to improve efficiency.
Develop and tracks key SaaS unit economics to inform pricing and growth strategies.
Manage relationships with banks, investors, and financial partners.
Supports future fundraising rounds, debt financing, or strategic investment opportunities.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field plus 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including prior experience as CFO, VP Finance, or equivalent in a SaaS or technology company.
Proven success scaling a company from ~$10M to $50M+ in annual revenue.
Strong command of SaaS metrics, financial modeling, and investor reporting.
Deep understanding of GAAP, forecasting, and cash management in high-growth environments.
Experience with venture capital, private equity, or institutional investors preferred.
Strategic mindset with hands-on capability—comfortable operating at both a high level and in the details.
Strong communication and presentation skills—able to explain complex financial information clearly and persuasively.
Collaborative leadership style able to work effectively with a close-knit leadership team.
Demonstrated ability to navigate disagreements, moderate conflict, and build alignment across stakeholders.
Experience managing equity programs and investor relations.
The most successful candidates also have… an MBA or advanced degree.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
