About the role

  • Financial Aid Trainer developing and conducting training programs for Financial Services Department. Ensuring compliance with regulations and enhancing service quality through strategic training initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Financial Services department in creating the training materials, guidelines, and performance expectations for incoming financial aid staff.
  • Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly training schedules which coincide with enrollment periods and academic class starts.
  • Organize and record training data and metrics to ensure consistency of training platform and appropriateness of financial aid training topics.
  • Provide timely training to all financial service staff to ensure accurate information and provide opportunities for advancement.
  • Consistently communicate new employee progress with hiring managers and campus leaders.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of finance experience, including training and compliance with Title IV regulations.
  • Strong Customer Service skills and ability to interact with other people and participate actively in department and staff meetings.
  • Strong teamwork and diversity awareness and ability to recognize and welcome organization change.
  • Organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize request and department activities.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills (including via phone & webcam).
  • Preferred background in Financial Aid Services in the for-profit education sector.
  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree in a relative subject.
  • Strong knowledge of Google suite.
