About the role
- Coordinate and facilitate School business planning and operational activities for Edinburgh Medical School
- Develop and enhance governance and decision-making frameworks
- Coordinate strategic business planning including KPIs and risk management
- Operationalise and align School plans and ensure effective business continuity planning
- Maintain compliance and contribute to continuous improvement
- Use data and management information and contribute to development of these for informed decision-making
- Act as a key member of a developing School planning team, supporting the Head of School and Director of Professional Services
Requirements
- Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent professional training with experience of business operations
- Experience of business operations, demonstrating development and progression in progressively more demanding roles
- Confident leader with experience of working with senior colleagues, managing teams and overseeing complex multifaceted deliverables
- Proven expertise in navigating and managing evolving business environments and coordinating resource requirements
- Strong operational leadership with experience of delivering business planning activities and providing guidance and support to colleagues
- Proven analytical skills and capacity for problem solving, with the ability to absorb complex information quickly, identify issues and make robust decisions
