About the role
- Business Analyst leading data modernization initiatives at Morgan Stanley. Acting as liaison between business and technical teams to drive enterprise data transformation.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business needs into actionable requirements for Corporate Services data warehouse
- Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for the migration of IBM DB2 data warehouse assets to Snowflake.
- Support solution design, user acceptance testing, and validation to ensure business needs are met and reduce risk of rework.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Act as Agile Product Owner for the existing IBM DB2 data warehouse, managing and prioritizing the product backlog.
- Conduct Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- At least 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role supporting IBM DB2 database environments.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories.
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and compliance best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, developers, SMEs, and change management leads.
- Experience with business intelligence tools, automation platforms, and AI/ML use cases is a plus.
