About the role
- Maintain and support the setup and infrastructure for Tableau, MSSAS and WebFocus
- Focus on platform administration, performance tuning, and system reliability (not report development)
- Collaborate with infrastructure and data engineering teams to ensure high availability and performance
- Support business projects by enabling data connectivity, troubleshooting platform issues, and optimizing performance and stability
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and monitoring tools (Python preferred)
- Contribute to integration of cloud-based data platforms (Azure Databricks, GCP BigQuery) with on-premise reporting tools
- Participate in platform upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning initiatives
- Document technical processes and provide knowledge sharing within the team
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in BI platform administration
- Hands-on experience with at least one: Tableau Server/Desktop, MSSAS, WebFocus or Power BI
- Solid understanding of Windows-based environments and administration
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Databricks, Google BigQuery)
- Proficiency in SQL
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
- Willingness to occasionally travel to Vienna (about once every 2 weeks)
- Preferred: experience with platform monitoring, access management, backend troubleshooting, Tableau Cloud or hybrid deployments, DevOps/CI/CD for BI, data governance, metadata management, security compliance
