About the role

  • Network Engineer managing Azure Cloud and on-premises network infrastructure. Collaborating on network projects, ensuring security, availability, and optimizing performance in hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

  • Help design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure and cloud networking.
  • Assist with planning and executing network projects and programs, ensuring alignment with business requirements, security standards, and deadlines.
  • Monitor and help optimize network performance, availability, and capacity across hybrid environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve routine network issues, escalating complex problems as needed and contributing to root cause analysis efforts.
  • Automate network configuration and management tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployments, cloud migrations, and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Follow and help enforce network security best practices, including firewall rules, segmentation, and access control policies.
  • Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including topology diagrams, configurations, and standards.
  • Stay current with emerging networking technologies and trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • 2 years of relevant experience required.
  • 2 years of Azure Cloud experience
  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
  • Certifications / Licenses: None required
  • CCNP, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or equivalent certifications preferred
  • Knowledge of routing and switching, firewalls and security appliances, VPN, SD-WAN, load balancing, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and related services
  • Knowledge of cloud networking (Azure, AWS, GCP), cloud-based telephony systems (Microsoft Teams), and network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, NetFlow).
  • Knowledge of scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
