About the role
- Avaloq Programmer specializing in payment functions and core banking system configuration. Requires Avaloq development experience for an international bank in Zürich, Switzerland.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain payment functions within the core banking system
- Configure Avaloq modules and interfaces to external payment systems, including parameterization and scripting (Avaloq Script, PL/SQL)
- Participate in the end-to-end project lifecycle: requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment and support
- Investigate and resolve production payment incidents and ensure high-quality service
- Ensure system changes are fully tested and documented according to internal standards
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development and testing processes
- Maintain clear communication with internal and external counterparties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
- Practical experience in Avaloq development
- Initial experience with SIC, euroSIC, SWIFT, SEPA or Instant Payment processes
- In-depth knowledge of the Avaloq core banking system
- Proficiency in Avaloq scripting and PL/SQL
- Experience with Avaloq parameterization and customization
- Familiarity with payment transactions, asset management products and banking processes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
