About the role

  • Direct oversight for the design, related purchasing and vendor procurement, and installation of the AV network systems on behalf of the client
  • Manage infrastructure projects and system development, related procurement tasking, and installations enhancements related to the client’s space planning and AV infrastructure
  • Work closely with senior IT leadership, network architects, other IT teams, real estate and construction project teams, management teams, contractors and vendors
  • Manage installation of AV and related IT/tech systems to comply with project specifications and tele-communications client standards
  • Manage multiple project schedules and necessary resources including AV installation technicians, control systems programmers, engineers, and contracted vendors/contractors
  • Coordinate design, purchasing, installation, programming, testing, and communication with vendors and all involved parties
  • Gather requirements, standardize and maintain AV designs and programs, oversee deployment, and enhance Audio-Visual infrastructure ensuring quality, stability, recoverability, and security
  • Train and mentor AV system engineers, support technicians, and other staff as needed
  • Design tasks: confirmation of IDF and MDF rooms, layout and rack elevations, electrical and mechanical needs, drawings in Revit or AutoCAD, project specifications, Bill of Materials, material budgets at SD/DD/CD phases
  • Project coordination: site surveys, bid leveling and recommendations, RFI review/response/approval flow, change order review/approval, construction oversight administration, project close out
  • Could administer client database of configuration, design, and components for all AV spaces
  • Establish and manage schedule of projects and provide regular reporting on state, progress, budgeting, and completion dates
  • Comply with all safety procedures and C&W / client related safety policies and complete required training modules

Requirements

  • Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, related degree or equivalent combination of education and experience highly preferred
  • 5-8 years total related experience (minimum 5 years)
  • Five (5) years of related experience demonstrating a progression of dealing with increasingly complex systems (General IT)
  • Three (3) years minimum Audio Visual Engineering Experience with designing AV signal flows and using AutoCAD to create AV design diagram
  • Experience with engineering design and project management
  • Experience with design, installation of electronic equipment; preparing and reading blueprints, drawings and schematics
  • Integration of audio-visual technology and AV technologies and IT systems on a technical level
  • Test and troubleshoot audiovisual systems
  • AutoCAD certification highly preferred
  • Working and expert knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT application is required
  • Graduate of other related technical certification program or trade school is preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe and Revit software packages
  • Superior computing skills in Microsoft Office suit, Outlook, Excel & Word
  • Proficiency with smartphone and/or iPad/tablet, uploading .pdf files, and logging into conference meetings (BlueJeans, Teams Meetings, Zoom)
  • Communication Proficiency (oral and written), Organization / Project Coordination Skills, Technical Proficiency, Problem Solving/Analysis, Sense of Urgency
  • Ability to function with autonomy, make sound and timely decisions, anticipate problems and proactively develop solutions
  • Strong negotiation and communications skills; ability to work in a high-volume, fast paced, dynamic environment
