About the role

  • Collaborate with account managers and clients to define project scope, functional requirements, and system needs.
  • Develop detailed AV system designs, including signal flow diagrams, equipment lists, and rack elevations.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, labor projections, and technical proposals for AV integration projects.
  • Evaluate project specifications, RFPs, and drawings to ensure alignment with design intent and client objectives.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support through presentations, product demonstrations, and solution recommendations.
  • Work closely with vendors and manufacturers to obtain pricing, verify compatibility, and stay updated on new technologies.
  • Develop and maintain standardized estimating templates, pricing tools, and documentation libraries.
  • Ensure estimates reflect realistic labor and materials costs while maintaining profitability and competitiveness.
  • Assist the sales team with responses to RFPs/RFQs, design-build proposals, and budgetary estimates.
  • Provide design handoffs and technical documentation to project management and engineering teams for execution.
  • Participate in client meetings and site visits as needed to validate designs and gather system requirements.
